Grandpa and Grandma Riches Valentines Party

My grandparents love the holidays. This valentines I told my grandma instead of her cooking she should tell every family to bring their favorite Mexican dish. There was a ton of great food and no one brought the same dish. After, we gathered all the grandkids and they got to pass out their valentines. Kaiden passed out Shrek and Ryker passed out Mickey Mouse. The kids have so much fun and I'm glad they will have these fun memories.

Kaidens Valentines from school

First of all, I have to say I am so grateful Kaiden loves preschool now. He looks forward to it and loves to be with the kids. He made this Valentines box at school. He was so proud of it. When he got home he had to pull out all the valentines and show me. We read them and then of course he wanted to eat all the candy.

February trip to Bear Lake

Mike and Kaiden on the frozen lake.

Where can you find sea shells, sand and snow all in one spot?

Kaiden and mom got the four wheeler stuck. The snow mobiles had to pull us out.

Every winter my family tries to take a trip up to the lake. It's the only time my parents and siblings are up there together. Don't get me wrong, we love having friends and extended family up there, but it's nice for just us to be together and have fun and be crazy!!!! The kids love being pulled on the sleds and walking on the frozen lake. It's a little scary when you hear the ice crack. Ryker stayed inside and played and was his happy self. The kids usually are exhausted so they go to bed early and the adults play cards. We always look forward to this and it's so nice to have a place to get away to thats not far but far enough to be out of the city.

Great Grandpa Rich trying to help Ryker crawl

Rykers 1st time with a sippy and eating puffs

About a month ago I decided to try giving Ryker a sippy cup. He had a hard time with it and still does. He doesn't like it and when I give it to him he throws it on the floor. But he loves his puffs. He likes to share them with Koda to!

Conversations of the week

Kaiden: Mom I need some candy.
Me: No candy, you've had enough today.
Kaiden: But mom I'm on a sugar high so I need more!

Grandpa: Take your shoes off before you go in the house. You might have duck poo on them.
Kaiden: Yeah, because the ducks were shittin everywhere.

Kaiden: Mom, this damn thing won't open.
Me: What did you say?
Kaiden: Mom, I didn't say damn!

Me: Kaiden, tell grandma and grandpa your phone number.
Kaiden: 801-345 TA DA!!!!

Kaiden is on a roll this week. Some of the things he says are so naughty but it's hard not to laugh. We are really trying to teach him but he just has his own little mind.

Rykers first haircut!

On January 11th, Ryker had his first haircut. His hair was out of control. It looked like he stuck his finger in a light socket. He did so good. He didn't cry or anything. They gave me some of his baby hair to keep and gave him a ballon. Kaiden took these pictures all by himself. I thought he did a great job!!

Tired boy

Kaiden hasn't been taking naps lately as you can tell. The first picture was at my moms house. He was playing tractors on the floor and the next thing we new, he fell asleep. It was only 7 and I thought for sure he would wake up once we put him to bed, but he didn't. I didn't even notice the medicine in this last picture sitting by him. It looks like I drugged him or something. We had just gotten back from the grocery store and he wanted some cereal. While I was unpacking the groceries I turned around and he was out. The medicine sitting by him was for Ryker and I had just bought it. I thought it was funny how this picture turned out.

New Years Eve Party!

This New Years was the first time in a couple of years that we didn't have a party at our house. We have been really busy and I just needed a break. So I told my parents they should have one. We all brought over appetizers and of course dad has to BBQ! Mike pulled the kids on the sleds with the four wheelers. It was FREEZING but they loved it. We played the wii, talked and relaxed. We celebrated New Years at 9:30 because the kids were so worn out. Grandma Cindy bought them all hats and blowers and I'm glad she didn't give them to them until it was time to celebrate. The kids blew the horns until we left. We all had a great time and were home in bed by 10. Even Mike and I fell asleep. SHOCKER!!! I am excited to see what 2011 has in store for us!
