A review of our December

Kaiden and I took a train around the bottom part of South Towne mall. He was a little nerves at first but then he loved it.
Every year before Christmas, Mike and I invite my family over for a game and dinner night. This year we did appetizers. Grandma Cindy bought the kids a game to play and they had so much fun.

We played pool and for some reason everytime we play my dad always wins. I think he cheats ;0)

Grandma and Carson playing the Wii. Carson beat everyone at bowling.

Kaiden and Papa playing!

Carly and Kaiden being silly!

Sisi and I. Everyone says she should of been mine. We like the same things and she has attitude just like her aunt!!

Fun Times!!

The sunday before Christmas, my parents have us over for dinner and they buy us all ginger bread houses to make. Kaiden was more interested in eating the candy then putting it together. This was our finished product. Of course Mike had to put grass on it!

Mike putting together the house while Kaiden watched him and ate the candy.

Corey and Tarah putting together their train. Tarah was copying the box so Corey hid it from her and told her they had to do their own design.

Grandma Cindy helping Carson. Jaycee was really sick so Mike and Mindy had to take her to insta-care. She had strip throat.

Kaiden eating Carly's candy!

We didn't make it up town this year to see the lights. It has just been to cold. Hopefully next year we will be able to.

Grandma Day

Ever since Kaiden was born, we go spend Wednesday's with my grandparents. We have lunch with them and visit. It is something Kaiden and I look forward to every week. Two weeks ago when we went over, they had put all there Christmas stuff out. When we pulled up to their driveway, you should of seen Kaidens face. He had the biggest smile on it. He said, "Yay grandma Shirley has her blow ups out."
When we went inside, he seen all the Christmas toys so he had to play and see how all those worked. His favorite part is the train, so grandpa turned it on for him.
Its so fun to enjoy all these little moments with him. These will always be treasured memories for us and for him. I am so grateful our grandparents are so involved with us and keep us such a close family. We love them very much and look forward to many more memories!!!

Build a Bear Day

I told Kaiden since he has been so good and we have only had one accident since he's been potty trained, that I would let him go build a frosty at Build a Bear. Out of all the animals there, frosty was the first one he picked. He helped the lady stuff him and but a heart in it. He gave him a bath and picked out a broom, scarf and pipe for him. Then he filled out a birth certificate for him and I said what do you want to name him. He said mom, Frosty!! He was one little happy boy. They put frosty in a little house and he carried it throughout the mall!

Our week

It's been kind of a crazy busy week for us. Monday I can't remember what we did due to preggo brain. Tuesday Mike works from home so he told me to go and finish some Christmas shopping. I was so glad because I pretty much have everyone done now. I did do a naughty thing and decided since I haven't been in the new Nordstroms I would try it out. And yes, I went straight to the kids department. BAD THING!! But Kaiden got a bunch of new clothes he probably didn't need. Oh, and they had the cuttest baby boy stuff ever.
On Wednesday I took Kaiden and Carson to see the movie Planet 51. I was a little nerves because I have never taken Kaiden to the movies and he doesn't sit still very long. He did really good. He sat on my lap for the first 20 minutes and then stood up between Carson and I. There was only 5 other people in the movie theater so it make it nice. About 40 minutes into the movie he got a little mad so I set him on my lap and he fell asleep for the rest of the movie. Carson and I really enjoyed it. I think it's funny now days how they throw adult humor into movies now. Thank goodness Carson didn't get those parts.
Yesterday, Mike and I decided to take Kaiden to the Zoo lights but since it was so cold we ended up going to Thanksgiving Pointe to see the lights. There you drive in your car the whole way through the lights. My mom and Carly came with us and we had to stop and get icecream first!! Kaiden loved it. Then after they have reindeer so we took him to see those. You should of seen the smile on his face :0) He wanted to know were santa and his sled was.
This is Kaiden's favorite time of year. We watch Christmas movies all year. He talks about santa and his reindeer all year to. When Halloween comes around he wants to get out the Christmas stuff and not the Halloween stuff. We put up all our Christmas decorations minus our tree the day after Halloween. He has his own tree in his room with a ton of decorations. He reminds us every day that we need the tree up. We put it up this year the day after Thanksgiving. He loved putting all the ornaments on it. Every time we go to someones house he asks me if they have there tree up! Also every night we watch a Christmas movie. It's so fun watching him and seeing how excited he gets. I love being a mom!!

Surprise!!

Ok, some of you I'm sure know but for those of you who don't, Mike and I are expecting baby #2. My due date is May 30th. We are all so excited. At first it almost didn't seem real. I wasn't sick, or nauseated. I did get hot flashes and food didn't taste good at all but I just thought my body was being weird. This pregnancy has been totally different than when I was preggo with Kaiden. It did feel real when we went to our first doctors appt on Nov. 5th. We heard the heart beat and they also did this ulta sound.
We found out on Sept. 23rd. It was actually crazy because that morning Kaiden was crying and he kept saying I want my baby sister. I told him he didn't have one but he had brother Koda. (That's our dog) He had also told me a few weeks before that, that he wanted his baby sister. Well that night was when I found out I was pregnant.
If you ask him what mommy is having he will tell you a baby sister. But he also tells me, mom you not sick, you not pregnant. I don't think he quite understands yet. I also went to the toy store and bought him a doll and of course he had to have a pink stroller. I thought this would help him get ready for the baby. Well, it back fired. I asked him the other day were his doll was and he said, "I hate it, I threw it in the garbage." Sure enough, that is what he did. I had to pull it out. He still doesn't have anything to do with it but he pushes his toys almost everyday in the stroller.
I'm excited to see what he does when the baby arrives. I know he will be a great BIG brother.

Happy Halloween

Kaiden carving his pumpkin. The first thing he did when he pulled out some seeds was put it in his mouth.

He wanted to carve a scary one!

Grammy and Grandpa Jim came to stay with us for Halloween.

Goofy kids!

Kaiden tells grammy she is a princess so she dressed up as one for Halloween.

I made mummy dogs for the kids and chili for us.

Getting ready to go trick or treating. They were so excited!!

Our cute cowboy!

Grandma Cindy taking Kaiden trick or treating

We had a fun Halloween. This was the first year we didn't make it to the pumpkin patch. Either Mike was out of town, it was to cold or it was snowing. My mom took Kaiden to a farmers market and she let him pick out a pumpkin.
Also, grammy and gramdpa Jim came out to stay with us. They've never been out here during Halloween. They helped Kaiden make some sugar cookies and they decorated them. Grammy and Kaiden carved a happy pumkin since he had already made a scary one. Grandpa Jim went with us trick or treating and grammy stayed back since it was cold and handed out candy.
Kaiden had so much fun with his friends. He loved going to all the houses for candy. It was so fun to see him so excited!!

Our 6th Anniversary

For our 6th Anniversary, Mike booked us a Bahama Cruise. We went with some friends and had so much fun. I don't think I have laughed so hard in a long time.
Our first stop was Nassau. It was beautiful. White sandy beaches and clear blue water.

We swam with the sting rays there and I was so nerves. It took me awhile to hold it. I was telling Jason to hurry and take the picture so I could let go.

My hot husband doing what he loves to do!

After we got done with the sting rays we went and got ready and toured the island. It is so beautiful. We went to all the different shops.

This is what happens at 4:30 in the morning when you've been having to much fun. We ordered room service and ate the whole thing. We had to be up at 7:30 the next morning.

Coco Cay was the next stop. It is Royal Caribbean's private island. They had a huge BBQ for us and we did a little shopping. It was so hot. It was 95 degrees with 95% humidity.

Everyone was swimming in the ocean and people were running out saying they got stung by a jelly fish. I got out and when I turned around Mike and Jason were playing with the jelly fish. Mike told me to get back in the water that they wouldn't bug me but guess what? I got stung right on the side of my tata's. It felt like a bee sting and burned. Then he told me to touch one and it felt like raw chicken. They're not my favorite.

Every night when we came back to our room, the guy that cleaned it surprised us with a animal. I thought this monkey was the cutest!

Key West was our last stop. We took a boat out to a island and kayaked around it. It scared me at first being in the ocean but it was fun. We seen a 3 foot shark, crabs and all different sorts of fish.

On the ride back to the Cruise ship, we seen a dolphin. I was so excited. You can barely see the tip of its fin. I got my camera out a little to late.
We toured Key West a little bit and ate at Sloppy Joes. It was amazing. We had sloppy joe nacho's and they were the best. I also lost my camera there but luckily we found it.

Megan and I getting ready to dance. The boys wouldn't dance with us so we danced by ourselves. We thought we were the best dancers!

Mike and Jason being funny!

This was at our hotel in Miami.

We seen our first drag queen show on South Beach. That was interesting. The people were throwing $20 bills at him. CRAZY!!

This was at a bar/resturant on South Beach. It was outside and they had a swimming pool with boards on top so people could dance on them or in the water. They also had a huge stage with a DJ playing. It was a fun place.
Kaiden and my in-laws bought us some pretty flowers and made a cute sign for us when we got home. It was so nice of them and it's nice to know that when we leave we don't have to worry because he is in such good hands!
I am so greatful that I have such a amazing husband. He always loves to surprise me. Especially when he is bored at work!! He is so sweet and always makes me smile ;0) He is so positive and looks at all the good things in life. He is a wonderful dad and works so hard so I can stay home with Kaiden. And also do all the fun things we do.
Love you Babe!!
