Our California Vacation

Waiting at the airport for the plane. Of course it was delayed.

Kaiden & Grandma Cindy watching for the plane.

Yay!! We are finally on our way!

Rykers first plane ride.

Headed in the bus to Disneyland for the boys first time!

We had to get our picture taken by grandmas favorite character.

Rykers first time seeing Santa. He was in the Disneyland hotel.

Surfs Up breakfast with the characters. Kaiden loved Mickey.

The boys with moms favorite character!

Ryker loved playing with Minnie's nose!

Stitch was so cute with Ryker. He'd dance with him and made him laugh!

Kaiden kept trying to lift up her dress.

Minnie and Daisy came and got Kaiden from the table and took him up on stage and danced with him. It was so cute and he was so excited!

Max with Kaiden and grandma

I think Mike was in love!!

Looks like Kaiden is to!

There are surf boards on the ground and Minnie was teaching Kaiden how to surf.

Going on It's a small world. So fun and it was decorated with Christmas decorations.

Going through the whales mouth.

Only been there for two hours and he fell asleep.

One of Kaidens favorite rides.

This is what happens when he has to get off!

My favorite movie!

This was in Toon Town. Kaiden loved it there. He had a blast going through all the characters houses and playing on the toys. His favorite was the roller coaster.

We finally found goofy for grandma.

Kaidens first roller coaster ride. I thought he would be scared but he wasn't. He wanted to keep going on it.

Goofy's house

Kaiden wanted to see Buzz so bad and I am so glad we found him.

Waiting for the parade to start.

Day two of Disneyland.

This Christmas tree was right in the entrance of the park. It was huge and decorated so pretty. It was lite up every night.

Grandmas favorite ride. We took Ryker and at one part of the ride it goes dark and you slide down a hill. Poor Ryker went stiff and his hands went up in the air. I felt so bad.

Kaiden definitely needed a nap. I was so glad he fell asleep. It was a two hour nap in the stroller so we shopped.

Back to Toon Town for the second day. This was Minnie's house.

Mickey's house

We seen Mickey Mouse again in his house

One happy boy to be back at the hotel.

Leaving the hotel and heading to shop at Downtown Disney then off to San Diego.

The board walk right outside of our condo.

Sea World

Kaiden feeding the Sea Lions

Ryker trying to grab the fish in the tank.

Waiting for the dolphin show to start with Aunt BB and Uncle Bry

Shamu show

Watching the worker feed the penguins. They have to be hand fed or else the seagulls will get their food.

Sea Lion show

Uncle Bry won Kaiden this dolphin. We had to take it as a carry on in the plane.

In front of Sea Worlds Christmas tree.

I bought stockings for all of us in Disneyland and Kaiden got them all out of my suitcase and hung them on all of the doors at the condo. He said we needed Christmas decorations in there!

Ocean Beach

On our way home. This is what happens when you have to much fun!

I was so excited we finally had the chance to go to Disneyland over the holidays. I have been wanting to take Kaiden for the last two years. We left the Monday after Thanksgiving and it was the perfect time to go. We didn't wait longer then 5 minutes in a line and only had to wear a jacket at night.
Our plane left early Monday morning and Kaiden was so excited to fly. Yes, with four sets of luggage, double stroller and 2 carseats, check in and security was a little crazy. Thank goodness my mom came with us. When we finally got to the gate, Kaiden and my mom sat by the window forever and waited for the plane to get there. Of course he had to sit by grandma! They read books most of the flight and Ryker slept except for the last 10 minutes. His ears were plugged and he cried. I felt so bad.
Getting our luggage and renting a car was another story. Mike went to get the car while my mom and I tried to pull everything to the car. We would move some bags a couple of feet then go back and get the remaining bags and pull them up to were the other bags were. People were starting at us like we were crazy. Once we got to the car and loaded it we were lucky they all fit but there was no room for anything else.
Tuesday morning we got up and took the kids to the Surfs Up breakfast. They took our picture with Mickey and then while we were eating, the characters would come to the table. Kaiden didn't want to eat, he just wanted to play with the characters. He loved it. They danced with him, and showed him how to surf. He played with them for two hours. His favorite was Mickey and he wouldn't leave him alone. They were so good with both kids. It is kind of pricey but totally worth the money. When we left, we seen Santa and there was no line so that made me happy. Kaiden wouldn't sit on his lap and Ryker just looked at him and pulled his beard.
Next we headed to Disneyland. Kaiden was in awh when he seen all the Christmas decorations. It is amazing. The first ride he went on was Alice in Wonderland. He didn't really like it because he thought it was scary. It amazes me that alot of the kids rides are dark and somewhat scary to a kid. He loved Dumbo, and It's a Small World. We went to Toon town and he had a blast going through all the characters houses. At the end of them you got to meet the characters. He loved the roller coaster which surprised me. Mike also took him on the Matterhorn and that was his favorite. I thought for sure that would scared him to death but it didn't. Splash Mountain was another one of his favorites. Ryker went on most of the rides which was nice so we could all go together. The parade at night was really neat and the fireworks were awesome. It was also so neat to see the park light up at night. None of us wanted to leave. We wished we would of got three day passes instead of two days. It was so fun to see Kaiden so excited and happy!
Next, we went to San Diego. We stayed at a condo on Ocean Beach. It was interesting. Totally hippy town and I'm sure if we walked around alot we could of gotten high walking the streets. We walked the board walk and hung out at the beach. We also went to Sea World and met Brittney and Brian there. It was fun spending time with them. Kaiden loved watching the shows and feeding the sea lions. Ryker liked to watch the fish.
We all had such a great time and didn't want to leave. My mom and I bought so much stuff that Brittney had to load her car with our stuff and take it to the airport. Imagine that!!
It was a great trip and I am glad grandma came with us. You would of thought a week would of been long enough but we all could of stayed longer!!
