I was so excited we finally had the chance to go to Disneyland over the holidays. I have been wanting to take Kaiden for the last two years. We left the Monday after Thanksgiving and it was the perfect time to go. We didn't wait longer then 5 minutes in a line and only had to wear a jacket at night.
Our plane left early Monday morning and Kaiden was so excited to fly. Yes, with four sets of luggage, double stroller and 2 carseats, check in and security was a little crazy. Thank goodness my mom came with us. When we finally got to the gate, Kaiden and my mom sat by the window forever and waited for the plane to get there. Of course he had to sit by grandma! They read books most of the flight and Ryker slept except for the last 10 minutes. His ears were plugged and he cried. I felt so bad.
Getting our luggage and renting a car was another story. Mike went to get the car while my mom and I tried to pull everything to the car. We would move some bags a couple of feet then go back and get the remaining bags and pull them up to were the other bags were. People were starting at us like we were crazy. Once we got to the car and loaded it we were lucky they all fit but there was no room for anything else.
Tuesday morning we got up and took the kids to the Surfs Up breakfast. They took our picture with Mickey and then while we were eating, the characters would come to the table. Kaiden didn't want to eat, he just wanted to play with the characters. He loved it. They danced with him, and showed him how to surf. He played with them for two hours. His favorite was Mickey and he wouldn't leave him alone. They were so good with both kids. It is kind of pricey but totally worth the money. When we left, we seen Santa and there was no line so that made me happy. Kaiden wouldn't sit on his lap and Ryker just looked at him and pulled his beard.
Next we headed to Disneyland. Kaiden was in awh when he seen all the Christmas decorations. It is amazing. The first ride he went on was Alice in Wonderland. He didn't really like it because he thought it was scary. It amazes me that alot of the kids rides are dark and somewhat scary to a kid. He loved Dumbo, and It's a Small World. We went to Toon town and he had a blast going through all the characters houses. At the end of them you got to meet the characters. He loved the roller coaster which surprised me. Mike also took him on the Matterhorn and that was his favorite. I thought for sure that would scared him to death but it didn't. Splash Mountain was another one of his favorites. Ryker went on most of the rides which was nice so we could all go together. The parade at night was really neat and the fireworks were awesome. It was also so neat to see the park light up at night. None of us wanted to leave. We wished we would of got three day passes instead of two days. It was so fun to see Kaiden so excited and happy!
Next, we went to San Diego. We stayed at a condo on Ocean Beach. It was interesting. Totally hippy town and I'm sure if we walked around alot we could of gotten high walking the streets. We walked the board walk and hung out at the beach. We also went to Sea World and met Brittney and Brian there. It was fun spending time with them. Kaiden loved watching the shows and feeding the sea lions. Ryker liked to watch the fish.
We all had such a great time and didn't want to leave. My mom and I bought so much stuff that Brittney had to load her car with our stuff and take it to the airport. Imagine that!!
It was a great trip and I am glad grandma came with us. You would of thought a week would of been long enough but we all could of stayed longer!!
