Catching up from June

Kaiden and Ryker taking a nap.

Carlys high school graduation. I never wanted this day to come because I knew when she graduated I would be 30 and 30 has always seemed to be so old to me. I have always said Carly should of been mine. When she was born I loved to take care of her. When my mom would run outside to get the mail I would hurry and paint her nails and get in trouble for it. Also when she was a couple of weeks old I curled her hair. My mom was so mad at me. I was the only one that could calm her down when she was upset as a baby. When she was in kindergarten and I was a senior I would pick her up from school everyday. We both are so much alike it's crazy. She is such a sweet girl!!

I made her smile for this picture. She usually does some kind of funny face!

Ryker and Harlee's blessing day!

Uncle Mike gave them both a amazing blessing!

After the blessing, we had everyone over to Mindy's house for a luncheon.

Ryker and Harlee with great grandparents

It was a long day and when we got home both of the boys feel asleep next to each other.

This was Rykers first time staying in a hotel. He was only three weeks old and we decided to take a road trip to grammy and papa's. We drove to Green River and stayed the night and got up the next morning and headed to Colorado.

Kaiden and grammy reading books. He had to have his reading glasses on like grammy!

The boys with their great-grammy. They are so lucky to have four great-grandparents!!

Grammy and papa had the family over to see us. This is Aunt Kim and Aunt Chrissy with Ryker.

Bed time!!!

Grandma day! We look forward to this day every Wednesday!

Ryker at one month. I can't believe how fast time goes by.

My friends and I at my 30th birthday party. I have never wanted to be 30 and I told Mike and my mom they better not plan a party for me but they did anyway. It was a total surprise. My dad barbecued at their house for about 20 of my friends and a ton of kids. My mom and Mike fixed some side dishes and they had me a purple cake. It was alot of fun and I am glad they did it even though I could have killed them both!!

This picture is of Carrie, me and my mom. I have known Carrie forever. She works with my dad and when I worked at the furniture store her and I became really close friends. I call her my second mom!

Grandma and Kaiden playing in a box. This kept him entertained forever!

Papa is supposed to be watching Kaiden. I think it's opposite!!

Kaiden loves going for bike rides with papa. Every time we go over there, Kaiden has to take his bike. When I was a kid, my dad always took me with him.

Every Monday I would take Kaiden to a different pool with some friends. At first I was nerves with him and a baby but we all took turns with watching the kids in the pool and the babies in the stroller. I figured if I could do that I could do anything!

Grandma day again!

The boys taking a nap. So sweet!!

One month old today

I can't believe our baby is already a month old. Time sure does fly by. Ryker, you are such a good baby. You are starting to stay awake more often now. The only time you really cry is when you are hungry or have a belly ache. I'm starting to think your fussy time is between 2-5 am. Other then that you are very content. We just took you on your first road trip to Colorado to see grammy and papa and you slept all the way except to eat. Your big brother loves to give you smoochies and sing to you. When you hear his voice you always turn your head to find him. You are a very strong boy and try to hold your head up.
You are such a precious little boy and bring such joy and happiness to our family. We love you very much!

Kaidens first day of summer school

Kaiden has been saying,"Mom when do I get to go to school." I tell him he will start preschool in September but of course kids have no concept of time. I was talking to my friend last week and she told me she enrolled her kids in a summer school at the preschool her daughter went to. I thought it would be fun for Kaiden to go and meet some kids his age.
Today was his first day. I had to wake him up and he was a little grouchy until I told him he was going to school. He got right up, put on his clothes and backpack and was ready to go. On the way there he said,"Mom don't cry ok." I told him I wouldn't although I did have to hold back tears. When we walked in he went right to the tables and started playing play dough with the kids. I gave him a kiss and told him bye and he could of cared less that I was leaving. I thought he would of had a hard time with me leaving but he didn't. When I picked him up he ran right up to me and showed me the rocket he painted. He told me he played in the sand, painted and ate pizza. His teacher said he did so good and she just thought he was so cute. He is so excited to go on Wednesday.

Rykers first sponge bath

For some reason, I get really nerves to give the babies a bath when they get home. I always fell like I'm going to drop them. So Mike usually does it for the first week. Ryker screamed the whole time we were bathing him. He didn't like it to much. Kaiden also helped us. Once we got him wrapped up in his towel he was happy!

Kaiden was getting bored in the hospital room so dad let him draw on the board.

Yay!!! I'm coming home!!

What a excited day!! Kaiden and I woke up and we were fixing breakfast and I could feel the baby going crazy in my stomach. He was moving around so much that I thought I was peeing my pants. Well, after a half hour it didn't stop so I called the hospital and they told me to come in and get checked that it was probably my water leaking. I called Mike at work and told him we might be having a baby today. I had to hurry and pack mine, Kaiden and the baby stuff. I was not prepared at all.
When we got to the hospital around 9 am, they check to see if it was my water. It showed it wasn't my water. I told them that was what happened with Kaiden and it was my water. They tested it for 2 hours and finally my water broke. And of course the test showed it still wasn't my water. They admitted me and tried to give me a IV. Two hours later they had to call the anesthesiologist to put it in because my veins kept collapsing. I was dehedrated.
I got my epidural at 4 and pushed 5 times and our little Ryker was born at 6:42 pm.
Mike and I are so grateful to have 2 amazing boys. They both bring such joy and happiness to our lives. Kaiden has been such a big brother and a huge help. I hope when they get older they are very close with each other.
