Colorado Trip

Two weeks ago Jim and Kym came into town so see us. They stayed for about 5 days and when they flew home Kaiden and I went with them. Mike was leaving town and I thought Kaiden would love to spend more time with Grammy and Grandpa. Kaiden did really good on the plane ride there. Right when we took off he fell asleep and woke up when we landed. The weather was in the 70's almost the whole time we were there. So we spent alot of time outside. They have a pathway across the street so we took Kaiden for walks. Of course he didn't want to walk, he wanted grandpa to hold him. We seen all different kinds of birds, geese, and rabbits.
Kym also surprised Mikes nanny on her birthday. She had no clue we were there and when she saw us she was very surprised. We got to visit with her, Dan and Kim and then we all had dinner together. Kaiden had a hay day playing with everyone. He had a golf card and give girl (that is what he called Aunt Kim) the lawn mower and made her chase him around in circles.
Grammy had also planned alot of fun things for Kaiden to do. We took him to story time, the park, went to lunch, and she even gave Mike and Kaiden pedicures. Yes they both loved every minute of it. I told Mike he better enjoy it because I won't touch his feet!!
Mike met us in Colorado Friday night, so on Saturday he had father son bonding time and mom had a girls day :) Kym, Kim and I went shopping (my favorite) and had lunch. We also met up with Kim's sister Chris. She is a hoot!! It was a fun day!!
On Sunday we went to Dan and Kim's house and had lunch and then they took us to the airport to see Dan's planes. When Dan opened the garage door, Kaiden got so excited. He ran right to the plane and said "Ready". He was ready to fly. It was so cute because Dan let Kaiden help him get the plane ready fly. Dan took Kaiden and Mike in the plane and they taxied around the airport. Kaiden had a blast. Then he took Kim, Me and Mike flying. It was amazing.
We sure did have alot of fun spending so much time with everyone. I think we wore Grammy and grandpa out. Kaiden was a cling on to Grammy. Where ever Grammy was that is were Kaiden wanted to be.
Thanks for everything Kym and Jim! We really had a nice time. We can't wait to come back in May ;)

St. Patricks dinner at grandma Rich's house

What did I tell ya. My grandparents took down the red lights and put up green! They are so funny. I think they are the only people in the US that change from Christmas lights to Valentines lights to St. Patricks lights!! That is one thing us grandkids will never forget. They love to celebrate the holidays. Oh and the whole inside of their house is also decked out to. I went over to their house earlier that day and helped them fix chicken broccoli casserole, green jello, salad, green punch and of course grandpa's famous rolls. And he put green die in them.
It's always so nice of them to get us all together and celebrate. I know that's why our family is so close. I hope when Mike and I get older we are just like them. They have set such a great example for all of us.

Funny things Kaiden say's

When he wants me to hold him he say's "I hold you". After he does something naughty he looks at me and says "Time out". So I say you want to go to time out and he says yes and laughs. He loves time out which isn't a good thing. I was laying on the floor and he got on my back and said "Horsey, Horsey". I said is momma a horsey and he said no. I said what is momma and he said "a cow". That made me feel great. Then yesterday he was looking out his window calling the garbage truck a "Dumb as*" I was like oh great. It's sad to say but he got that from me. When I drive I have a little bit of road rage and I think I say it a little to much.

Our fun day

Today we went down to Lehi with my friend Jill and her kids to a indoor swimming pool. The kids had so much fun. They swam, went down the slides and went in the whirl pool. Kaiden would even go under the water which was a shocker. When we left he cried and didn't want to go until I told him we were going to Aunt Mindys and then he was happy.
We had lunch at Mindy's then went outside and let the kids play. Mindy has a ton of little kids in her neighborhood so Kaiden thought he was in heaven. He rode bikes with all the kids and played on the play ground at the park. We had a fun day and now he's taking a nap. I think he is a little wore out. I am so lucky that Mike works so hard so I can be a stay at home mom. Some days it's a little tough but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Our Little Denise the Menise

Day One- We were getting ready to go to Bear Lake and my dad had backed up his truck to the garage so we could load stuff in the back. Kaiden wanted to get into the drivers side and drive so I let him in and unlocked the doors so he wouldn't lock himself in.(And of course the truck was not running) So anyway my dad was in the bed of the truck tying stuff down and I was in my car taking out Kaidens car seat and all the sudden I look up and there goes the truck rolling down the drive way and I yell "Dad" and he's yelling "Oh shit". My dad jumped out of the back and ran to open the driver door as so did I and Kaiden had locked the doors. So my dad was trying to stop the truck holding on to the side mirror while I ran around to the other side and jumped in the back were the door had been left open. My dad had got the truck stopped in the middle of the circle before I got to the driver side. Kaiden is just smiling and saying "Drive". I don't know how he pulled the lever into neutral. Our vehicles won't let you pull the lever unless they are on. I think my dad and I just about had a heart attack. Thank goodness no one or object was in front of the truck. Oh and I think I learned a lesson to.

Same Day- So we get up to Bear Lake and I'm sitting by the fire place and I said "Mom what is Kaiden doing?" And she looked over and he had got out the coffee pot and coffee and dumped the coffee into the pot and missed half of it and it was all over the floor. My mom said Kaiden what are you doing and he said Make Coffee. I don't know about making coffee, but he sure did make a big mess!!

Day Two- We got home from Bear Lake and Mike was in our room talking to his dad with Kaiden in the room. All of the sudden I hear once again "Oh Shit" and a boom. I go running in our room and Kaiden had pulled out the bottom of our nightstand and decided to stand in it and it tipped over. Luckily the bottom drawer caught and stopped it from falling all the way on him. The bad thing was the picture frames that were on my dresser fell and hit him in the head and there was broken glass in his hair and all over the floor. He didn't have a scratch on him thank goodness. All he kept saying was fall.

Today- So today I'm in the kitchen cleaning and he likes to climb on the couch and up on our counter. That is exactly what he did and I said Kaiden get down your going to fall. I went around the counter to get him and I'm sure you guessed it, he fell. He cried for awhile but amazingly after all he's done, he doesn't have a scratch to show for it. We are very thankful for that.
I am hoping tomorrow and forever (yeah right) nothing else will happen. It's been a rough couple of days. I keep hoping these things will pass soon and that Oh Shit won't be in his vocabulary since we seem to use it a lot lately.
