Our Crazy Boy!

My mom and I went shopping for shoes this week and while we were trying on shoes, here comes Kaiden around the corner with these shoes on. He said, "Oh grandma, I love these. I have to buy them." My mom and I were laughing so hard I thought we were going to pee our pants! The funny thing is he walks better than I can in them! The people in the store couldn't get over how cute he was. I said when his dad see's these pictures he's not going to think so!

Then a few days later he was playing in our pantry and wouldn't let Mike or I go in. He comes out and he had opened a snowman kit and told us he was frosty the snowman. He just makes a laugh! He is such a funny boy!

Kaidens new barber!

Carly just started hair school in September. Last week I called her to see if she would cut Kaidens hair for me. She has been cutting Mikes hair now for the last few months and does an amazing job. She was a little nerves since she's never cut a little kids hair. This is the before picture. We put him in the bath tub to cut it so we wouldn't get hair every were.

He got a little ancy, so we gave him the squirt bottle. He was soaked by the time he was done but he had fun and it kept him still.

This is the final picture. She did such a great job! Carly was in a hair competition two weeks ago and took second place. She is now headed to state!! We are so proud of her. GO CARLY!!

New Years Party

I know I am a little behind posting all this stuff, but I told Mike since I don't have time to write in a journal, I would have this blog made into a book at the end of each year. So I want to make sure I don't forget anything.
This year we had a New Years Party at our house. We had family and friends come over and bring a appetizer. I planned a few games for the kids while the adults played pool and poker. Some of the kids that came are Kaidens age and around 10:00 they got a little tired. I put in a movie for them and not one of them fell asleep. Around midnight I think they all got their second wind. I bought them all hats, necklaces, poppers and blow horns. They all seemed to have alot of fun. Especially with the horns!

Kaidens first visit to dr. to listen to babies heartbeat

Kaiden asks Mike and I everynight were the babies heartbeat is. So we decided to take him to my doctors appt. so he could listen to it. He thought it was the neatest thing. He got the biggest smile on his face when he heard it. I am really excited for him to be a big brother. I know he will take such good care of it. Everynight he puts his hand on my belly and waits for it to move. He also gives my belly smoochies before he goes to sleep. He always asks me if I am ok and helps me get my medican at night. He will also bring me a drink of water before bed and tells me to drink it so I will feel better. He is such a loving and caring boy. I know he watches his dad take care of me and he wants to do the same. I am so grateful for the example that Mike sets for Kaiden and I know one day when he is older he will take care of someone just like Mike takes care of me!

Kaidens new fish tank

For Christmas, Mike asked me if he thought we should get Kaiden a fish tank. He already new my answer. I did not want one. I didn't want to have to take care of it and I know they are just fish but I don't like it when anything dies. I cry for weeks. I get to attached to little things. So I told him no. Well on Christmas eve, guess what Mike brings in to wrap? A fish tank. I was so mad. He said Kaiden will love it and I will take care of it. So the next day, we took Kaiden to pick out all the stuff for it. He picked out red and black rocks, a motorcycle helmet and a dirt bike rider. It looks really cute and matches his room. He also picked out some fish. We started out with three and one got stuck in the pump and died. Yes I cried for a minute and got over it. One of the other fishes got mean so we took that one back and bought four more. So far none of those ones have died. One we think is pregnant so we check on it everyday. It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be and Kaiden and dad take really good care of them.

Kaiden's new fish tank

Finally Christmas pictures

This was taken on Christmas eve. The elves bring Kaiden a present on Christmas eve and put it under his tree in his room. When we get back from Grandma R. he gets to open it and it's pajama's. Then we cut up apples(it's usually carrots but we didn't have any) and put them on the porch for the reindeer. Then we leave cookies and milk on the table for santa.

This is Kaiden on Christmas morning. We had to wake him up. Mike and I didn't sleep all night because we were so excited. We woke him up around eight. The elves always leave him a pair of slippers by his bed so when he wakes up he can put them on.

He was so excited that santa brought him a Thomas the Train bike. You should see him ride it. He is really good.

Santa also brought him alot of tractors, books, and clothes. Dad bought him his very own fish tank.

After we open gifts at home, we head to my parents house for more gifts and breakfast!

My parents always go way over board on Christmas. This and the next picture just shows how crazy they get with the gifts. Their whole family room is covered.

For Christmas dinner, we go to my dad's moms house. This is a pictures with some of my cousins.

I think Kaiden was a little wore out. Long but fun Christmas day!

This was Christmas Eve at my grandma and grandpa R. house

Two little terrors looking so innocent.

Grandpa showing the kids his train. Kaiden loves it. Everytime we go there he wants to play with it.
