Our week

What is up with this????? You could probably tell his dad has been out of town alot! He does spend alot of time with his cousins and he loves to play dress up with Jaycee. I am hoping he grows out to this!
I took the boys to the library for the first time. We have been to story time there but we have never checked out any books. We read some tractor books there and all Kaiden wanted to check out was Christmas books. We enjoy reading them before bed.
Went to grandmas house and both boys were sound asleep. I layed them on her couch and Kaiden got right up, took grandmas hand and went to the family room to see if her tree was up. It was, and she let him help her put the ornaments on it. Then all he could talk was her train. He wanted to know why grandpa hadn't put up the train yet. Grandpa told him when he did he would call him to come help him. First thing every morning for 3 days he asked me if grandpa had called.

Kaiden has been enjoying preschool thank goodness!! There were a few rough weeks but now I think he is finally use to it. This week he made a turkey. He loves to make things. He has been struggling with tracing and holding his crayon but we have worked alot with him and now he does great. We are so proud of him!
More projects he has made this month!
Grandma Shirley watched the kids for us yesterday so my sister and I could go to the family christmas show. First thing Kaiden noticed was that the train still wasn't out. Grandpa was gone so I told him to ask him if they could get it out when he got home. When Mindy and I went to pick up the kids guess what was out?? Grandpa said he wasn't ready to pull it out since the tree wasn't finished but he did it because the kids kept bugging him!
Ryker loved watching the train to. He sat there forever and kept trying to grab it.

It's that time (kinda)

Kaiden has been bugging me forever to take down the Halloween stuff and put up the Christmas stuff. On the 2nd of this month my mom came over and was helping me clean and put away the Halloween stuff and Kaiden kept telling me he wanted to put up our Christmas tree. Well Mike was out of town and there was no way my mom and I could do it ourselves. So instead I told him we could put his up in his room. Ryker sat on the bed the whole time and watched us. It was alot more work then I thought. It fell over three times after we got it all done. The ornaments were to heavy for it so I finally had to stick some rocks in the back of it. Kaiden got a little nervous everytime he would put a ornament on because he thought it was going to tip over again. The fourth time was a charm and it looks so cute. I definitely have one happy boy now!

Happy Halloween

I can't believe Halloween has come and gone. This year, Kaiden wanted to be a fireman and he wanted Ryker to be a dalmatian puppy. It worked out great because I bought him the fireman outfit for his birthday and when he told me that's what he wanted to be I decided to save it for Halloween. Rykers costume I planned on making it because I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it. I ended up seeing it on sale at Old Navy so I bought his to. They both got alot of use out of them. We went to 4 halloween parties and halloween night.
This year the weather was a little crazy. It had been really nice until Halloween day. It was really cold and rained on and off. We went to my sisters house for dinner but when we seen the rain clouds coming we decided to take the kids trick or treating first. Of course once we got them all ready and out the door it was a down pore. They didn't even seem to notice. They had a blast. We went to a few houses and went back to her house to eat and get warm. We didn't think the kids would want to go again but they did. They were out there for an hour and a half and we had to drag them back in.We were all wet and cold. All in all we had a fun time!

Carving Pumpkins

This year we were a little late carving pumpkins. Mike has been out of town alot and we didn't want to do it without him. We carved them Halloween morning. Mike cut the tops of the pumpkins off and told Kaiden to clean them out. We thought he would love it but not so much. He stuck his hand in and pulled it out and said it was to gross. So mom and dad cleaned out the pumpkins. He did enjoy drawing on them and carving them. Ryker just sat in his bumbo the whole time and watched. He loves to watch everything his big brother does!

Bath time!!

Our little "chubba bubba" loves his bath time. He likes to dangle his left foot in the water and suck on the wash cloth. Every time we stick him in he pees. So we have to take him out, rinse it out and fill it back up. He loves to stand up and hold on to the side of the tub and watch us. When he his done, he loves to be naked and wiggle his little bum!!! He loves bath time!!

Kaidens preschool Halloween party

First thing teacher Becky does is Yoga with the kids. It gets most of their wiggles out.

They played musical feet

Made pumpkins out of milk jugs

Wrapped them up as mummy's

Kaiden showing his spider he took for show-in-tell

What a fun day. I volunteered at Kaidens class for his Halloween party. I wasn't going to help out at first because Kaiden finally stopped crying when he goes and I didn't want him to start again knowing that I was staying that day and that was it. He has the cutest preschool teacher. First thing the did was yoga. Then she picked one kid to help her point to the days on the calendar and be the leader for the songs. She sang color, number and letter songs. Kaiden wasn't to interest at first. He just cried because he thought I was going to leave. Then he was fine. Then she went over the letter of the week which was "H". After that, she let them decorate pumpkins and for a snack made fingers out of string cheese and gum drops. She also made them Frankenstein jello. She put green jello in clear cups and drew his face on the cup and topped it with crushed up oreos for the hair. Then she froze half of a banana on a Popsicle stick and put white frosting on them and let them decorate them with m&m's gummy bears and sprinkles. They were supposed to look like ghosts. Then she wrapped their arms up in toilet paper to look like mummy's and she hid little toy skeletons in the paper. They got to play some games and then they got to show the class their favorite Halloween toy. Kaiden took his spider he got in his happy meal from grammy.
His teacher is so organized and does so many fun things with them. I had alot of fun helping out but I have no clue how she has so much patients for eight 4 year olds. I know I couldn't do it.

Grammy and Kaiden

Grammy and Papa came into town for a few days so papa could work. Grammy stayed with us while papa stayed at the hotel. She bought Kaiden a haunted house to decorate. They had so much fun and it turned out really cute. We were glad they got to come see us for a few days!!
