Sister Wanted!!

Yesterday morning Kaiden kept saying something over and over again but I didn't know exactly what he was trying to say. Then he said "Carson sister". So I said yes Carson has a sister and he said yes. So I said does Kaiden want a sister? He said yes and got all excited. I said you really want a sister and he kept saying yes. I asked him if he wanted a brother but he said no. I said what do you want to name your sister and he said Kelcee.
My cousin's name is Kelcee and her and Carly are the same age and are really close. Kaiden loves her. She is so cute and fun to be around. I just thought it was so funny how all of the sudden he is asking for a sister.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What a fun night! Mike and I decided to have a New Years Eve party at the last minute. It started out with 4 couples and ended up with eleven couples. Oh and 5 billion kids!! We had a blast. All the older kids played the Wii while all the little ones ran around and played toys. Oh and thanks to Amber who gave them whistles at 10:00, they ran around blowing them all night. All the adults sat around and visited, ate, drank, played pool and poker. I don't think it gets any better than that! I think everyone had a great time. Thanks everyone for coming!!!
(Most of our pictures didn't turn out, so here were a few that did.)

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jim!!

Your such a good example
of what a grandpa should be
We always get along so well
even when I'm angry.

Your so patient
and understanding
your so quick to give.

How lucky I am to
have a grandpa like you
someone who takes an
interest in all that I do.

You have a good heart
and your honest and true
You are the best grandpa
and I really love you!!!

Happy Birthday Papa!!

Love,
Kaiden

Pajamas

Ok, so all of the sudden Kaiden has something for pajamas. He throws a fit every time I try to put his clothes on. He goes to his drawer, pulls them out, brings them to me and says jammies. For the last two days that is all he has wore and he wants to change into different ones every hour. Thank goodness we have stayed home the last 2 days because I won't take him out of the house in them. Today we went to my parents house and I tried to put his clothes on and he threw a fit. Mike told me to put them on and to let him throw a fit so I did. He cried for a little while and we told him we were putting his jammies in his bag and he could have them when we got to grandma's house. So of course when we get there, he gets them out of his bag, brings them to Mike and says "jammies".

More Christmas Pictures!!

Christmas Day!!

Well our morning started out a little interesting. Kaiden got up at 6:45 and we went in his room to get him, flipped on the light and had no power. So needless to say, we opened presents in the dark. Thank goodness my grandparents gave us the lantern the night before. The power was out for three hours. Kaiden was so cute. Every present he unwrapped he would tell us to open it. It was so fun watching him get so excited!! Then we got ready to head to my parents house and Mike opened the garage and we had a 3 foot snow drift in front of our garage. So poor Mike had to put on his snow clothes and go out in a blizard and snow blow before we left. We had 12 inches of snow. (Mike emailed KSL a picture of our house and last night they showed it on the news and showed the measurements of our driveway and said it was 2000 pounds of snow he snow blowed.)
We finally left and was headed to my moms and we were turning left on the highway and a car ran a red light and barley missed us. Good thing Mike was paying attention and stopped. It scared the crap out of me!!
We made it to my moms finally and ate breakfast and opened gifts. Kaiden had a blast with his cousins. They got sick of opening presents so they played and Mindy and I opened there gifts for them. Later that day we went to my Grandma B. and had dinner. It was so good. All of my grandparents sure know how to cook. I think I ate to much though. It was nice to visit with everyone.
We left my parents house about 7:30 and Kaiden fell asleep on the way home. He hadn't had a nap all day. We all had such a fun day. It will definietly be one to remember!!!

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve since I can remember, we have went to my grandma and grandpa Rich's house. My moms whole side of the family comes over for dinner and later we all exchange gifts. I always look forward to my grandma's cooking!!! All of us cousins pick names, and this year Kaiden got to open his gift first. He was so excited. He got building logs and a animal puzzle. He played with them for awhile but when he saw the other kids open up toys he was right there ready to play with those. My grandparents gave him animal flashcards (there were about 30) and he said the names of all of them. I was so proud of him. My grandparents gave us a coleman lantern and boy did it come in handy Christmas morning. We had alot of fun seeing my family and spending time with everyone. After we are done there, my parents have us come to their house so we can open up pajama's. I think traditions are very important and I am so grateful that my grandparents are so involved with all of us and keep us such a close family. We love you!!
